Ducati, preparada y dispuesta a poner ocho motos en la parrilla de 2022

El fabricante italiano mantiene abiertas las negociaciones con los equipos VR46 y Gresini para suministrar sus prototipos a partir de la próxima temporada.

Además de las dos unidades del equipo oficial, Ducati anunciará en Mugello la renovación del acuerdo con su actual socio, Pramac, para un nuevo periodo a partir de 2022, sumando dos prototipos idénticos a los de fábrica a la alineación de las motos rojas en la parrilla.

En paralelo, los ejecutivos de Borgo Panigale negocian con Aramco VR46 Racing Team y Gresini Racing para suministrarles motos la próxima temporada, y aseguran estar dispuestos y preparados para poner ocho Desmosedici en la parrilla del Mundial de MotoGP.

Desde el lado de Ducati puntualizan que las conversaciones con la nueva formación propiedad de Valentino Rossi están abiertas y que de momento no se ha cerrado ningún acuerdo, por más que algunos medios italianos lo den por hecho.

Hasta el pasado fin de semana, al menos, los responsables de VR46 seguían negociando con Yamaha para que fueran los japoneses sus proveedores, y tales filtraciones pueden responder a un intento de presionar a la marca de los diapasones, que si se decanta por seguir con su actual socio, Petronas, y no amplía a seis sus motos en parrilla (algo que en principio no tienen previsto), perdería todo vínculo contractual con Valentino Rossi, el piloto que ha sido su imagen desde 2004.

El equipo propiedad del tristemente fallecido Fausto Gresini, ahora en manos de su familia, sigue adelante con el proyecto y tiene firmado un acuerdo con Dorna para mantener su plaza en MotoGP hasta final de 2026.

La estructura privada mantiene las negociaciones abiertas con Ducati y desde Borgo Panigale están poniendo todas las facilidades posibles para ayudar a tirar adelante el proyecto.

Aunque la relación entre Aprilia y el equipo Grenisi, fusionados los últimos años, no ha sido la mejor durante mucho tiempo, las opciones de que el fabricante de Noale decida poner dos motos satélite sobre la mesa mantiene la puerta abierta a seguir la colaboración en el futuro, siendo la posibilidad que ven con mejores ojos desde Dorna, promotor del campeonato.

La diferencia entre Aprilia y Ducati, para Gresini, es que mientras su actual socio solo le suministraría motos y material, y le cobraría el precio de tarifa por ello, la fábrica de Borgo Panigale se haría cargo de una moto, un piloto y los ingenieros, lo que reduciría los costes considerablemente.
